The wedding date is getting closer. All preparations have been made; the venue has been decided, the photographer has been hired and all the guests have been invited. But you are yet to zero in on your wedding outfit, the most important tasks of them all. Surely it can be confusing for the bride-to-be to pick your attire out of the entire gamut. 1.Do your homework well
Before you go out to the market to find arguably the most important outfit in your life so far, i.e. your wedding dress, make sure to check the latest trends online. Not just styles and colours, but also check for their prices at different shops and outlets and make a list. This exercise will help you find the attire of your dreams without breaking your bank.


 

2.Know your budget
It will be a wise decision to decide your budget before you start shopping. At the showroom/outlet/studio, make sure to inform the staff about the budget you have in mind, so that they can bring you the best in-budget dresses and save your time by not going through expensive stuff. Knowing your threshold will also help you narrow down the stores that you can visit.
 

3. Choose your shopping partners carefully

Taking your entire clan to pick out your wedding outfit may sound like an exciting idea, but beware for everyone is bound to have a different point of view which might terribly confuse you. It is the most important outfit you will ever wear, and you would want to ensure that it is right. Don’t get tempted by offers or discounts, instead finalize the one you are comfortable wearing and truly love.

 

7.Always try the dupatta
Try your dupatta before your wedding along with the lehenga/sharara/salwar. See, if it is going well with your bridal outfit. There should be design and colour coordination between both. Make sure that the dupatta enhances your overall look.
 

8. Keep the footwear in mind
While you might not have bought the footwear that you would wear on your wedding, you will still be having a rough idea of how high heels you would go for. So, do not forget to keep a pair of similar heels in your bag. This will help you to check during the trial, whether the combination of the dress you selected and the heels that you will wear is comfortable or not.

 

9.Click pictures of the one you finalize
Most of the shops would not allow you to click pictures of the outfits, but once you buy the outfit they will surely allow you to do so. Later, it will be easier for you to shop for the matching jewellery and accessories. Secondly, when your outfit finally comes from the showroom, you can cross-check whether you have got the one with same detailing that you had selected.
